THANK YOU ALL!

THANK YOU TO 200 OF YOU!

Here's to many more years on YouTube. This is only the start. I LOVE YOU and remember, you are all beautiful. If you don't like what you see in the mirror, then please get a better Mirror from IKEA.

Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush.

I recently purchased a new blusher. I needed something that was great for summer, long lasting and also something that gives me a little pop of colour. Whilst I was looking through various blog reviews about Chanel blushers, I took the plunge and puchased Joues Contraste Powder Blush.

The Colours -

  • Frivole
  • Orchid Rose
  • Pink Explosion
  • Plum Attraction
  • Reflex
  • Rose Initiale
  • Rose Petal

My Purchase -

Ta-dah! I'm a sucker for packaging and I have to say, Chanel has beautiful packaging!
It's a pricey blush but when you take this out of your bag everyday to touch up your makeup, you realise that it is so worth the money...... or not. I'm just trying to justify myself here! (haha!)

The colour I chose is called 'Reflex'

It's a subtle coral colour with a hint of shimmer. If you're like me and you don't like glitter in blusher, you'll love this one! It makes your skin look like it's glowing instead of looking like you've been playing in a glitter bath for hours... umm, I honestly don't know what a glitter bath is and I'm pretty sure I made that up, but it sounds fun!

As you can see, the Chanel blush comes with a little brush that you could use for applying it to the apples of your cheeks. I emphazise on the word could because, well let's be honest, nobody ever really needs these little brushes, unless you're stuck on a desert Island somewhere. Just sayin'.

Although I feel like this blush will suit every complextion, I decided to take a swatch for you Bloggerettes and show you what it would look like on olive skin tone.

I had to put quite a lot on my had for it to show up on camera, as it is a subtle coral colour, but I love how it looks on my cheeks!

The pros of this blush has to be the excellent packaging and the staying power that it has. If you're like me with combonation/oily skin, you often find that blushers usually fade throughout the day. I wore Reflex yesterday and it did last all day.

The cons of this blush is probably the price. It retails for £31.00. It's obviously not a blush that I would purchase each time I run out of it but I once I have, I certainly will re-puchase in the far, far future.

How do you like the Chanel Blushes?  Do you think they're a waste on money or a good investment?

The White Blazer.

So on my shopping travels lately, I have notice that the trend has been white tuxedo jackets. I remeber buying one last year from Mango whilst it was in the sale and for a whole year it was just sitting in my wardrobe gathering dust.
I have to say, at first I really wasn't into the whole wannabe Kim Kardashian style jacket as I thought they were a little tacky.
You're probably thinking ''well, why the hell are you writing this bog post'' well, my bloggerettes (I litreally just made that up.. haha!) that is because I have succumbed to the Tuxedo!

I recently came across this photo whilst looking for a nice new white blazer, and realised I had a similar blazer (tuxedo) that I could restyle. I tried my best to restyle it and here is the finish look:

Image from www.google.co.uk
As you can see in the photo above, there is a small polka dot top underneath the blazer. As I didn't have a polka dot top, I paired my tuxedo with a polka dot dress that I bought from Tesco. (I know what you're all thinking when I mention Tesco but I have to say, they do have some great stuff this season!)
                                             Check it out! http://www.clothingattesco.com/

On to the  Accssories!

I didn't want to copy the style of the model too much. In the photo you can see that she is wearing silver jewellery. I decided to swap the silver to gold and this is how it turned out.
On my wrist I am wearing a Lexington, Michael Kors watch, a really old 18 Karat bangle (you can get similar bracelets from places like New look)
I decided to go the extra mile and add a dainty gold chain to the blazer (very Kim K) which I took from my ASOS Jumpsuit outfit.

As for shoes, you could either wear black or beige flats or pumps. In my opinion, I would probably wear beige pumps as it's one of my favourite colours/style of shoe.

I love the contrast of black, gold and white. It's extremely elegant and is something that is timeless and so, so chic!

I feel that this outfit is aiming more toward evening but if you really want to wear this in the day, then maybe you could wear it to a job interview or even lunch with friends!

What do you think of this outfit and would you wear it?
Also, comment below to know what posts you like me to review/talk about next!

Have a great day Bloggerettes!

ASOS Wrap Dress
Price: £35

Last week I was looking on ASOS for something new. I knew that I needed a new dress and I wanted it to be simple with a classy look to it.
When I am browsing through ASOS's dresses, I feel that there are rarely ever any dresses that I like. They are either too short, too long or simply just not my taste, so when I stumbled across this dress I knew I had to have it!

It took around a week to arrive, which I thought wasn't too bad, especially because ASOS provides each and every customer with free delivery worldwide.

However, I am really not to keen on the way ASOS tend to pack the clothes. It comes in a cheap plastic bag with holes in it. I feel that if you are paying a fairly large amount of money for something, it should arrive at your door looking neat and tidy. (I know that isn't ASOS's fault but it is quite annoying).

Have you ever exprienced bad packaging on your orders from ASOS?

I cannot say enough great things about this dress, I purchased it in a size 10 and it fits perfectly. It is extremely flattering and feels light as a feather. I feel that the flarey arms are what makes this dress original and stunning looking. I get a lot of compliments when I wear it.

As the dress is black, you can wear any colour shoes with it, from pumps to heels. I tend to wear beige high heels with the outfit, as beige is really in this season.

What do you think of this dress?

Have a lovely day.

Everyday Makeup.

My Everyday Makeup Bag

I have recently been writing about a lot on Fashion Trends and the latest looks, but haven't really posted a lot concerning  Makeup. I decided today's the day.

The best way to start is by showing you all what Makeup I use on a day to day basis. I love seeing these videos on YouTube and also reading them on Blog sites, so I guess now it is my turn!

This is my everyday makeup bag that I carry on a day to day basis. It is small but don't let that fool you! It can fit quite an extraordinary amount of items inside.
I purchased the bag from the beautiful Victoria's Secret store in New Bond Street, London when it first opened last year.

The Contents of My Bag.

Purchased from www.boots.com - £12.99

This stippling foundation brush is by far my favourite brush. I had seen a lot of positive reviews on the brush, decided to take the plunge and purchase it. It gives a truly amazing, great coverage finish to liquid foundation leaving your skin looking natural.

www.nyxcosmetics.co.uk £11.00

I purchased this Photo-Loving Primer whilst at the Excel Beauty show in London. It was my first time trying NYX products. I love this Primer, it leaves my skin feeling like silk and I find is perfect for all skin types. I have very sensitive skin and break out using most things, but this primer hasn't caused me any problems.

Illamasqua foundation £27
Maybeline Fit Me Foundation £7.00

I often mix the Illamasqua Skin Base foundation (shade 7.5) with Maybeline's Fit me foundation in the shade 210 to get an even colour for my skin.
I have been using the Skin Base foundation for a year now. I love it. The foundation provides excellent coverage which lasts all day. The only problem that I have noticed with this foundation, is that it tends to break me out a little.

Maybeline's Fit Me foundation also provides good coverage considering it is not a premium brand foundation. It looks natural and feels comfortable to wear, the only problem I find with this foundation is that it does not last all day and makes my skin look really oily, so I often find myself blending the foundation out using my stippling brush to stop my skin looking too shiny.

Royal Brushes - Bronzing Brush

I picked up this brush from the Excel Beauty show in London last year. It is an excellent quality brush. I use it as a buffing brush as the hairs are soft and do not irritate my skin. Once I have applied my foundation using my stippling brush, I buff the foundation into the skin using this brush and it creates a flawless, natural look.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Collection.
£27

I have nothing bad to say about this face highlighter pen. It gives my skin a beautiful radiant look, covers up my dark circles and lasts throughout the day. It also looks great on photos!
The pen design I have is limited edition. I am not sure if you can still purchase the ridged design, but you certainly can purchase the highlighting pen.

Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Bronzer.
On Sale: £7

I purchased this limited edition Bronzer from Bentall's. I feel the colour is a little too dark for me, so I often dust a little on my cheeks and use it as a light blusher. The packaging is stunning and the quality of the bronzer is great. I find that it lasts all day.

All About Face - Tesco

I was in dire need of a new mascara as I had run out of my collection 2000 mascara. I came across Tesco's own brand of mascara and liked it for a little while.
It is not my favourite. I find it leaves my eyelashes looking clumpy. I think it is time to purchase a new mascara asap!

M.A.C ''Girl About Town''
Elizabeth Arden High Shine ''Pink''

Girl About Town is a lipstick I have owned for a while. As you can see in the photo, I'm running out of it!
It's a vibrant colour, does not dry my lips out and is great for evenings as the colour is very pigmented. I often find myself wearing this in the daytime, if I am wearing a plain outfit.

Elizabeth Arden's High Shine Lipgloss is one that I use on a day to day basis. It is such a pretty colour and is extremely moisturising on the lips.

My everyday makeup look.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I carry in my day to day makeup bag. If you have any questions regarding the products that I use, feel free to comment below!

Burberry.

Burberry Blast.

I have recently discovered an amazing site where you can put together stunning collages of your favourite Fashion/Beauty looks ranging from pricey products to reasonable priced products, all for free!

I have become rather addicted to the site and will continue to create a wide variety of Fashion and Beauty collages for my readers to take inspiration from.

I have noticed that beige, browns and blacks are really in this year, so I decided to create a collage of one of favourite clothing designers, Burberry

www.polyvore.com
''Burberry Blast'' My collage.

Aren't the Burberry clothes simply breathtaking? I feel that this outfit is simple, but still maintains an elegant, classic look.

What is your favourite item on my collage?

My favourite item in the Burberry collage has to be the belt. A belt plays a huge part in making a plain outfit stand out, for example, I recently came across an old jacket and belt of mine that I had never worn and was just sitting in my wardrobe gathering dust, so the other day I decided to play around with them and this is what I came up with...

Bright Green Jacket - Tesco
An old studded belt.

I'm not really a fan of funky coloured jackets, but paired with the silver studded belt, I think the look I created looks bright and fun!

What is your opinion?

Summer Trends 2013

Rush Hour Red.

The Summer is coming and what better way to stand out from the crowd, by wearing stunning reds, funky fuchsias, pretty pinks and glamorous golds.

Whatever your skin or hair colour, you will feel sexy and alluring. Why not complete your look with 70's style sunglasses.

By taking inspiration from the look I have created below, you can achieve this timeless and daring fashion statement.

What colours will you be daring to wear this Summer season?

Spring/Summer Trends 2013

Spring/Summer 2013

This season on the Spring/Summer 2013 Catwalk, lots of stunning neutral colours were paraded by the models. The neutral colours look stunning when combined with darker tones, which makes for an elegant and classic impact.

I have created this collage to give you an idea of how I would put together an outfit.

Spring/Summer 2013

The stunning Izabel peplum top from the House of Fraser can be worn as daytime or evening wear. It can be worn with white (as shown) or neutral skinny jeans, but depending on your style you could pair it with leggings or even a little black skirt.

As for the outerwear, I have chosen an elegant, fitted blazer from Dorothy Perkins. I feel that this really is the crème de la crème of the outfit. In my personal opinion, fitted blazers really do complete any outfit.

It's all about accessories girls! I feel that bags and shoes really determine the look you want to achieve. I wanted to achieve a more sophisticated look, so I went ahead and added the ever so popular Louis Vuitton Neverfull PM bag in Damier Ebene. The dark caramel coloured bag certainly looks gorgeous and flows with the neutral theme.

On to the breathtaking heeled pumps from Rupert Sanderson, I feel that the cream coloured pumps really make one big statement. It really does pull the outfit together.

Lastly, I decided that makeup plays a big part in what look you wish to achieve. I feel that a dewy, fresh face is best, paired with baby pink lips, light mascara and light coral cheeks.

What's the best foundation to achieve a light, dewy finish but still providing the right amount of coverage?

All rights belong to Maybelline.

My answer to that is Maybelline Fit Me foundation. It lasts a long time, provides excellent coverage and leaves a velvet, dewy finish.
If you tend to have oily skin, like myself, just add a light dusting of matte powder to your skin and you are good to go!

What is your favourite look this season?

Tiffany & Co

Tiffany and Co Bead Bracelet

Tiffany and Co is a brand that has been around for 175 years and always been has known to provide an elegant, stylish and unique touch to their jewellery.
Every piece of jewellery comes gracefully packaged in the little famous blue box, tied with a dainty white ribbon.

The first time I set my eyes on a Tiffany and Co boutique, I knew I wanted to take a look inside.
The boutique I visited was inside of Selfridges, London. It is a small store but still bursting with beautiful jewellery designs, from stunning silvers to beautiful golds with a touch of breathtaking diamonds.

I entered the store not knowing what my first Tiffany purchase should be. I spent about and hour in awe of what was in front of me.
After about an hour, I then knew exactly which piece I wanted. I had chosen the original and very popular bead bracelet.
The bracelet comes in two sizes, small beads and medium beads. I had chosen the medium size.

Unboxing my first ever T&CO.

Now it's time to reveal to you my beautiful bracelet...
Ta-Dah!

The Sales Assistants at the boutique were quite rude. I waited a while to be served and they let people go ahead of me, which I thought was utterly unfair as I had been waiting for assistance for a good while.
As much as I love Tiffany & Co, I felt as if the experience of buying such a beautiful, luxury item was slightly ruined.

Overall, I will continue to love Tiffany & Co. It is something that will truly last a life time.

What was the first ever Tiffany & Co Piece you purchased?
